The studio’s point of view comes from the owner’s arts education: sculpture, painting, realistic drawing, art history, and textiles. That mix hard‑wires attention to texture, color, and composition into every piece. She first touched the trade as a teenager in a grocery floral department, earned a degree in creative advertising, worked in that field for a couple of years, then returned to floral design the place where her natural talents fit best. She now brings about 18 years of experience to the bench.

Mornings begin with processing and paperwork, then a quick triage of what’s time‑sensitive. Production follows. Plant care isn’t an afterthought; it’s part of the routine. Before close, the space is reset so tomorrow starts clean. Deep work on the website and marketing usually happens later, away from the bustle, when the phone isn’t ringing and focus is possible.

Who makes your flowers
Most designs that leave the shop are made by the owner. A second designer trained in‑house from the ground up supports production and keeps the studio’s plants thriving. A driver helps the team as needed. Inventory is intentional and tight; stems don’t sit around just because they’re in the cooler.

What the work looks like
Expect arrangements that lean less traditional and more artistic. That approach has been tested in high‑pressure settings: presentation bouquets for National Ballet of Canada prima ballerinas; corporate party florals during the Toronto International Film Festival; and a 20‑foot Christmas tree created for Arlene Dickinson.
